Festival season may be associated with summer but, there are great festivals to attend every season of the year. Here are 10 of the attendance worthy fall / autumn festivals happening all over the globe. Ranging from rock to EDM and crowds of 26K + to 10K +, you're sure to find something that you'll love.
1. Rocklahoma, September 2-4, Pryor, OK
Rocklahoma (also known as Rock Fever Presents Rocklahoma or Rock Fever) is an annual American three-day rock festival held in Pryor, Oklahoma. The festival features 4 official stages, as well as many unofficial campground parties and performing acts and onsite vendors. Headliners have included artists such as Korn, Megadeath, Cypress Hill, Seether, Slipknot, A Perfect Circle and Poison.
2. Louder Than Life, September 22-25, Louisville, KY
Louder Than Life proclaims to be the 'World’s Largest Rock ‘N’ Roll Whiskey Festival.' The festival highlights hard rock, punk, heavy metal and alternative headliners. The festival features over 50 artists and continually brings in over 120,000 fans each year.
3. Imagine Festival, September 15-18, Rome, GA
Imagine Festival has become Atlanta's largest EDM camping festival, about 30,000-40,000 are expected throughout the weekend. Six stages host a wealth of electronic royalty such as Andy C, Borgore, Excision, Griz, Kascade and San Holo.
4. Electric Zoo, September 2-4, New York City, NY
New York City’s premier electronic music festival every Labor Day weekend. With stacked artists ranging from bass to techno featuring names such as Afrojack, Cheat Codes, Carl Coz and Armin Van Buuren, the park transforms into an electronic playground for a three-day jammed pack festival.
5. Sea.Hear.Now Festival, September 17-18, Asbury Park, NJ
The Sea.Hear.Now Festival is an annual music, art and ocean sustainability festival featuring a professional surfing competition held in Asbury Park, New Jersey. The festival will bring 25+ bands to three stages at North Beach Asbury Park and Bradley Park. Headliners have included Cage The Elephant, Stevie Nicks, Green Day, Pearl Jam and The Smashing Pumpkins.
6. Firefly Music Festival, September 22-25, Dover, DE
Set in the forested landscape of The Woodlands of Dover International Speedway in Delaware, Firefly boasts seven stages and over a 100 performers each year. Headline performers have included Rage Against The Machine, Billie Eilish, The Killers, Tame Impala, Panic At The Disco and Post Malone.
7. Electric Picnic, September 2-4, Laois, Ireland
Ireland's mega-festival crams in so much music and activities that you'll be hard-pressed to experience everything in one weekend. There's endless fields of camping along with forested glades inhabited by late night revelers. From partying at a pirate ship to secret shows in the chapel to drinking in the Trailer Park, this is an unforgettable festival. Headliners have included Artic Monkeys, Tame Impala, Rage Against The Machine, Snow Patrol, Picture This and The Villagers.
8. Rifflandia, September 15-18, Victoria, BC
Taking place across downtown Victoria in British Columbia, there are 20 venues with 150 performances over four days and nights. Some notable headlines have included Modest Mouse, Death Cab for Cutie, Big Boi, Courtney Love, Moby, and The Flaming Lips.
9. ILLfest, September 3-4, Austin, TX
Here you'll find some of the world's best electronic musicians with art installations and trippy sights around every corner. Artists such as Kaskade, RL Grime, Cheat Codes. Griz and Borgore have all preformed here in the past.
10. Dancefestopia, September 8-11, Kansas City, MO
A high energy music and camping festival, expect nonstop music and one of the strongest dance music lineups in the region. Artists such as ZedsDead, Griz, DeadMau5, Seven Lions and Borgore have all performed here.
